The Jain family of Gorakhpur believes that it is through imparting quality education, that we can serve the society and the people of Gorakhpur and it is for this reason, our Patriarch Late Rai Bahadur Madhusudan Das Ji, got together with like minded individuals to set up the Gorakhpur University and several other educational institutions in the city of Gorakhpur.

Seventeen years ago, Madhusudan Das Degree College, Gorakhpur was set up with the objective of imparting complete and quality education which is not restricted to imparting bookish knowledge only but inculcate humanitarian values like wisdom, compassion, courage, humility, integrity and reliability in a student.

At MDDC we believe in holistic education, encompassing – academics, co-curricular activities, sports education and life-skills learning. Our endeavor is to impart education that is based on conscience and we rear a breed of young minds that are bustling with self confidence, motivation and ever ready to take up challenges.

MDDC focuses on helping students in not what to think but how to think. After completing his/her higher education, a student has to make several life defining choices such as what career to choose. MDDC encourages students to learn about themselves and their constantly changing environment, while at the same time offering support and guidance as they practise decision-making and social skills.
